Seven Simple Steps to Success
We break up your migration, onboarding, and training into easy-to-follow steps designed to get you and your team using CRM in your live environment in just weeks.
Step 1: We work with you to determine your needs & plan your migration.
Your migration is unique, so the first step is to determine what you need and scope your project accordingly.

Step 2: We receive & connect a copy of your database to the new environment.
We can take a copy of the source database from you or your hosting provider through sFTP or your preferred transport mechanism.
Once we have a copy of your database, we will restore it in our environment, then connect and validate it against the destination environment(s).
This allows your users to keep working in your old system uninterrupted!
Step 3: We make any technical upgrades needed to enable your migration.
Dynamics CRM users running Version 4, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, or 2016 installations of Microsoft Dynamics CRM will need to upgrade their system in order to migrate to the cloud.
If you require a technical upgrade, we will upgrade your source database and provide an entity model solution in the destination environment you provide.
This allows you to skip the usual upgrade steps entirely and jump straight from your on-prem installation to Dynamics 365!
This process usually takes 2 to 3 days, but if you’ve requested a functional upgrade as well, it may take a little longer.
Don’t worry though, users are still on the old system until we’re done!
Step 4: We create destination user accounts & link them to your existing data.
Once we have access to your destination environment, we’ll map all users in the database you’ve provided to us with either licensed destination users, or to ‘stub users’ created to enable the data migration to complete.
We’ll provide you with a dashboard to help you complete the user mapping, and then time your migration to complete as soon as you’ve finalized that mapping.
This will allow you to ensure your data transfers correctly and at the most convenient time possible for your organization.
Step 5: We can provide a full test migration to ensure your confidence in the system.
Although we don’t need to test the migration to validate the process, many users like to see a completed system in advance of a switchover.
We’re happy to offer an end-to-end test migration on request in order to ensure that you are confident in your new environment.
Step 6: We perform your migration during off hours to minimize interruptions to your business.
The final data migration will usually complete within a weekend, with users stopping their activity on your old CRM system on a Friday evening, and logging in on a Monday morning to see their new environment with all (and we mean all!) their data.
This may involve 2 steps for larger databases: if we complete a delta process, we’ll take one database and migrate most of the data, then a second database at the switchover weekend.
In either case, we’ll migrate your data to your new production environment as seamlessly as possible, causing little-to-no interruption to your business
